I started Kenneth Stillman Video four years ago, and have since grown it into a thriving business. Last year alone, we covered 115 weddings in southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. I first learned about LightScribe while I was browsing through the computer department at my local consumer electronics store. I was very impressed with the technology.

When I started this business I used inkjet-printable DVDs, but quickly became frustrated with them. The software for designing the labels was limited, the printer never seemed to line up the discs correctly, and they would frequently smear.

For a brief time I offered my customers a choice of both LightScribe and inkjet-printable DVDs, but since nine out of ten wanted LightScribe discs, I decided to offer them exclusively. My clients are always impressed by how great it looks to have their image burned directly to the disc.

Each project usually requires around six LightScribe discs (three copies of a two-disc set). The main disc generally features a picture of the couple along with their names and wedding date. The second disc is often just bonus footage. The couple gets three copies: one for themselves, and a copy for each set of parents.

I also use LightScribe to send out demos. I probably send out 150 demos each year and there are three discs in each pack. Then, for side projects and personal videos, I easily use close to 1,000 discs per year.

Most impressive is the fact that I've been using the same LightScribe DVD to present my product offerings for over two years now, and it’s held up perfectly. People touch it and rub it and the image is still as perfect as the day I burned it.
