I'm new to the board.  Using a HP Media Center PC m1760n. I can run the Lightscribe Template Labeller.  All seems fine.  After 30 minutes or so DVD ejects but there is nothing burned to the DVD.   I also ran Sonic's Express Labeller.   Again, the program says it's successful but nothing on the DVD.   I've tried updating software and drivers.  I did get an error message trying to update SP26468.exe; it told be HPDC.exe is not a valid Win32 application.   I'm trying to burn some nice Lightscribe-etched DVD for a recently engage couple, and I rather use Lightscribe than use a marker.   Any help appreciated.

This is usually due to a "cleaning" problem on the marks in the HUB Area.

Go to the "LightScribe ToolBox" & then to "Knowledge Base" & search for "No Label" in all Topic.

Thanks for the referral.  When you say "hub", I assume you are referring to the area around the center core of the DVD?  Or, am I supposed to clean  the laser in the burner?  Today, I purchased a different brand of DVD and still no luck.  I searched the Knowledge Base and didn't see any solutions to my exact problem.   I hate to do it, but I think I'm going to have buy an external DVD burner.

Yes, I am referring to the area with the marks, they are used for Media Dectection, Positioning, & Timing.

If you use your burner alot, you may have to clean the laser.

I use a kit from Philips.
