I just started using Lightscribe. Even when using the templates provided, the previews are all black??? Also, I tried to burn one cd and nothing happened. It went from light red to dark red. I'm very confused about this software?

Hi Jonathan  !
The only "burn" style labeling available right now even LabelFlash et. al.. do a grayscale on whatever color media you use it only can get darker.
A "Polaroid" style of labeling has yet to be developed.
But one word of caution, NEVER PUT A DISK WITH A STICK ON LABEL IN AN LS DRIVE!!!!! The reason is - you could damage the drive irreparably.
