I recently upgraded my iMac from Lion to Mountain Lion. Before that, under Snow Leopard, I had no problems printing labels from DiscLabel (by SmileOnMyMac). I had installed the drivers found on this site, which are at Version 1.18.24.1 (for OS X 10.3.9--scarry!--or later).

Not sure, whether it's DiscLabel or the drivers that cause an error to occur about 10% into the label-writing process. DiscLabel reports that there was a "LightScribe Interface Error."

I am wondering, whether anyone is doing any work to ensure compatibility with current OS X releases. A single driver that's supposed to be completely compatible with OS X versions from 10.3.9 to 10.8 sounds a little hard to believe, except that it did work up to Snow Leopard.

I would recommend you contact tech support at smilesoftware. As the author of DiscLabel they would be in the best position to advise you as to whether your root problem lies in the labeling program or in the LSS driver software. I haven't seen very much activity from Lightscribe as to program updates lately and I've been told that HP stopped factory installing Lightscribe enabled drives in some new units sometime about a year ago. You would have to verify that with HP.
