When I run the LightScribe Diagnostic Utility I get an error message saying I have to set system registry settings: New Value: AllocateCDRoms: 0

I cannot find where to make this adjustment in the registry.  I ran the find feature in the registry with no luck.

What's next?

The change isn't a "feature" in Windows. It involves manually editing a registry key value. If you are not comfortable or knowledgeable enough to manually edit the registry this is a task best left to a skilled user. Incorrectly changing a registry value can result in an inoperable device or machine. If your machine has had multiple optical drive changes it might also be a good idea to have the tech reset the optical drive upper and lower filter values. Incorrectly removing (or not removing) a drive that is no longer used can result in these registry values being out of range for proper Lightscribe functionality.
