I recently purchased Lightscribe blank CD that are white , my Gear Head machine will not recognize
them , can the software be modified to recognize a white label ?

Are you sure they're LightScribe Disks V1.2?
What brand?
Where did you get them?
They may no be LS Compatible!

I am not aware of any manufacturer producing Lightscribe blanks in that color.
