OK. so you may have noticed i made a blank post. My browser did not support this forum. Sorry. OK for the problem.

ARS-5107 Acard.  It will copy any disks.  It will not PRINT LightScribe. I did send note to Acard they said it's drivers. Drivers it's a PCI unit. Well i see lots of post about using these CD duplicator and limited help.  so I ask what should i do to get this to work.

This is what i've done.

All CD/DVD burners <LS> are all the same and supported

installed Acard templet maker.

created a test LSI.

Loaded the file into the HDD of the Acard unit.

Selected <ligetscribe> <select from DA> selected the file be name.

<print>  ERROR: Target drive not ready.

I did check the combatable list and it is listed.

If someone could send me a test LSI for this unit would be great.

Thank you for any help you can give.

OK I'll try...

The ARS-5107P and PX are both SATA interface controllers, not drives. I have no idea what you mean when you say it is a PCI interface. Also, any controller used for a Lightscribe drive interface must contain an Intel Southbridge compliant chipset that fully supports an IDE interface. (Even in an ACHI or IDE configuration) You also didn't mention what LSS (Lightscribe System Software) you have installed and frankly I'm not too sure how it would interface with a Controller/HDD piece of equipment controlling a Lightscribe enabled drive. What does "select from DA" refer to? What label making program are you using? The Lightscribe Template Labeler uses a .lsl saved label file extension. I think the .lsi extension is a Corel layout file that is utilized by some proprietary Duplicater label making software I have seen. Does the HDD in the ARS unit show as a logical drive in Device Manager? I would contact Acard and get a more comprehensive explaination than "driver" unless they can supply you with a proper SATA controller driver for their 5107 and an understanding of why their controller needs .lsi files without providing a compatible labeling program.
