I have a Samsung SE-S204 DVD external drive that is USB connected to my PC. I can write and read photo files to LightScribe (LS) discs using this drive with no problem. But when I try to label these discs the LS Labeler software gives me an error message saying it can't communicate with the drive. It shows the drive name with no problem. I have re-installed the software all to no avail. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately there are many potential causes of the problem you describe. What OS are you using? Try the LDU (Lightscribe Diagnostic Utility) that is available on the download section of the Lightscribe website. Be sure the USB connection is NOT a hub connection. What other devices are you running on USB bus? Verify the PC bus is not USB 3.0...USB 2.0 seems to cause fewer communication problems...
