I set up the disk with images and then text. When I go to print, the preview shows the images and some of the text but won't print all the text.  Managed to print a disk before with images and text.  Any suggestions?

What Lightscribe label making program are you using?

What ever is the newest version from the website.  I was able to print a disk a couple of weeks ago with inserted text but that disk I saved now won't print the text. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

No, no. What Jim meant was: Are you using LightScribe Simple Labeler? Or LightScribe TEmplate Labeler? Or Droppix? Or what?

Knowing this will help us figure out your problem.

I'm using the Lightscribe Template. What is strange is I saved a label and did print one disk but when I created another label using the template, an image (JPEG) shows up and prints but the text I created wouldn't print.  When I went back to the original label and tried the Preview and Print, only the image is shown and not the text.

Ok you are using the LightScribe Template Labeler.

The rest of what you said is confusing... Wait, are you saving BEFORE you enter the text? And then printing? Because if you were then you would successfully print the first time, but when you open the saved image then you would only get the text.

I used template labeler, the quartered disk, and created a disk with an image on two quarters and text on the other two quarters. I successfully printed the first time and then saved the disk.  When I tried to print it a second time only the images showed in the preview and print but not the text. I'm trying to create a disk that I can use over and over but just change some text each time.  Even when I try to create a new disk using another template, I get an image but any text especially when added on the outer rim doesn't show.

I have finally discovered that the text added to the outer rim of the quartered disk can only be printed in outline form.  When I deleted the outline, the text appears on screen but doesn't preview and print.  No documentation to tell this is a default that can't be changed.

Use a different font. There are a few fonts that are meant to be used only as outlined but the vast majority of the Windows fonts are conventional black. Since Lightscribe prints in grayscale any white in either text or image will be "printed" as transparent. A handy tip when you don't want a background to show in an image.
