I have just installed a HP 1170d SATA drive (firmware DH22 180) in a PC running Win XP SP2, and latest system software from lightscribe. When attempting to burn a label in a Verbatim disk (manufacturer 113), wether from Nero Cover Designer 2.8.3.0 or from Droppix 2.9.3.0 the computer resets (reboots) as soon as the above mentioned applications attempt start writing to the disk. The Lightscribe diagnostic utility reports no problems or errors, neither with the drive nor with the media. I have a text file with the diagnostic data to submit to Lighscribe tech support, provided that some one would tell me how to do so. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance

More information for you all. I connected the HP Drive to a different SATA port on the motherboard and that appers to have solved the problem. At least I was able to burn a label on a disk. I'll let you know what happens in the long run. Cheers!!

Hi Alberto !
This makes the SECOND TIME someone solved the Drive Recognition Problem by changing the place on the cable.
This may turn out to be part of the general problem!
