Is there an alternative way to download the templates? At the moment you have to go here: http://www.lightscribe.com/ideas/index.aspx?id=2564 and then select the Category and then the Theme you want to download. If you want them all that's a total of 31 separate downloads you have to instigate and install. You are also unable to see the time & date (version) of a Theme Pack and therefore know if or what has change within it.

Can you not:

a) Have a link to download all Themes in one pack. When extracting and installing the templates it would just prompt the user to ask if they wanted to overwrite the existing template.

b) On the Ideas Template page actually highlight the new templates or themes so users can quickly ascertain what's new and decide whether to download.

c) Allow users to navigate to http://download.lightscribe.com/ls/ so that they can see to full list of Templates. We could then browse the full list of templates and easily see what's new and download them directly from one page instead of navigating through the Ideas web interface.

Hi Bruce !

If you're referring to the area around the Hub, you'll notice that LS disk have Marks in the Hub area.

These marks are needed for Media Detection, Positioning, and Timing.

They will never be removed unless the technology changes radically.

Only the rest of the LABEL side can be used.

This and the minimum amount of text allowed by the templates offered by this site are the reasons I design Custom Templates for the LS Template Labeler.

You'll find other post of my sharing OFFER, so if you follow the direction I will send you the link.

LS newbie here. ...I need help downloading the templates to my PC (windows). I have followed the instructions on the template page http://www.lightscribe.com/ideas/index.aspx?id=1892 for downloading, which reads:
  1. Select the appropriate download link for your operating system. Save the file locally to your disk.
  2. Go to the location where the downloaded file was saved.
  3. On Windows, double click on the downloaded file to run it. This will install the templates into the Template Labeler application. (Unfortunately, it does NOT).

And, when I try to access the template, it is nowhere to be found in the program. What am I doing wrong?

Should the templates be available when I open a NEW file, or what?

I'd REALLY appreciate any advice. and would very much appreciate it if someone would email me directly with the info....HELP!  ondick@charter.net">dondick@charter.net

Hi DonaD !

The templates from the website are INSTALLED to one of two SPECIFIC FOLDERS:

Main LightScribe Templates:  C:\Users\Owner\Documents\LightScribe\Templates
Other LightScribe Templates: C:\Program Files (x86)\LightScribe Template Labeler\templatelabeler\content\templates

They used to be in a path with no space between "Template" and "Labeler" in the second one above.  The OLD Path needs to be merged into the NEW Path to put them back where the TL will see them.

I put My Custom Templates in the second place:
C:\Program Files (x86)\LightScribe Template Labeler\templatelabeler\content\templates

My Custom Templates require you browse to the folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\LightScribe Template Labeler\templatelabeler\content\templates) to extract them.
