Hey, I received an HP external USB Lightscribe DVD and am having difficulties burning lightscribe to it. I receive the error below after about 10-15 minutes of burning..
 

  "An internal Lightscribe System Software(LSS) error has occurred with the Lightscribe service. Please restart your computer and try your label again (4231)."

  I've researched several of the past fixes and have

1) Tried the lightscribe diagnostics utility (nothing found)
2) Uninstalled/reinstalled all Lightscribe software
3) Tried both DVD's/CD's (totally about 10 now - all fail)
4) Updated Motherboard drivers, Video Drivers, chipset drivers, reboot.
5) Turned off wireless adapter (?? who knows - one of the forums listed this as a fix)
6) Running program as admin and also in XP SP3 mode (worth a shot I guess..)

I'm running Windows 7 , 64-bit     
 

Any ideas what to try next? Contact support (where?)? I'm trying it on another computer later today to confirm if it's the drive or not. Other suggestions/Thoughts? It appears this is a moderately common error. Thanks!     
 

Ok - tried on another machine and it worked fine (2x) , so it's not the burner.

Thoughts?     
 

Is there any lightscribe support available? (i.e. where can I get lightscribe support - I don't see it on their site)

FWIW - As noted I was able to run it on another machine with no issues - I re-imaged my machine and started from scratch and still get the same issue..     
 

FYI: Now getting the same error on the machine that DID work at one point (had to re-image it) - so now both machines don't work.

Starting to wonder if it's the DVD burner, but strange that it worked at one point..

Also there have been a few updates since the first post. Install the new LightScribe System Software.
