Hello I would like to thank you guys for such an awesome design, however I have found some draw backs. I use both Nero 9, and your labeling program to print labels. Once in a while, more often with Nero, My labels become incomplete or interrupted I have noticed that if I want a darker look I can run the cd thought the process again... However the more I do this the more likely the darker colors will get streaky. But sometimes if the burn process get interrupted. It won’t finish the label, and the only other option is to try it again. The problem with this is that the drive will rewrite the entire label over again, and go over the parts that were previously written. This makes the older image, darker then the newer image, and the label looks just plain wired. I was hoping that you guys would be able to correct for this. Maybe having the drive scan the disk for prewritten images, and then taking off from there.
Also maybe in the future you can make the disks rewriteable so you can redo any labels that came out blurry or what not. So far have have printed out 40+ disks and 4 of them were totally unreadable, 5 of them messed up, and 2 of them were just throw always.

Hi Newbe !

I am not with LS Support, but maybe I can offer some help for your problems.

To make a darker LABEL, use the LS Control Panel on the right side of the System Tray (bottom right of screen and in the same folder as the LS Template Labeler).

Wipe the LABEL side of the disk with a lint free cloth (even disks that are new and look clean can benefit from this).

I use the LS Template Labeler exclusively to burn LABELS and either Nero 9 or Vista's built-in burn feature to burn DATA.  I have also had most of my trouble with Nero 9.  I have it for its ability to READ and sometimes COPY non-Windows disks.

I have burned over 100+ disks; designed 118 Custom Templates for the TL; and designed or fixed 3 Custom Templates for Forum Users.  I have made numerous posts which make an OFFER to share my work.

Thank you for your advice, however making the label darker is not really my problem; the main problem is when a label is unfinished. I was hoping that there would be a way to re-run through the process but have the LS labeler recognize unfinished work, confirm desired completion, and be able to take off from known problem area.

That is a problem.

I don't know if the LABEL side is readable.

The process of burning the LABEL side is more like a Polaroid than burning the DATA side.

To the best of my knowledge, the LABEL side coating side LIGHT SENSETIVE.

Unlike the DATA side being more HOLOGRAPHIC which isn't that visible.

That's why the DATA side changes very little when burned.

It's still shiny, but noticeable from the unburned part.

Oh I see. There goes trying to avoid incomplete labels, Looks like more disks in the trash then.I just wish someone would have wrote  this as a con in a review somewhere. I would never have thought to myself.... Wow what would happen if my label gets messed up? it can't be removed, and the only options are to; live with it, replace it with a paper label, or throw it out.
I also guess its safe bet to say that they wont be coming out with an erasable label anytime soon.

HP has something called something like "Burn Write" for its systems.

I don't exactly know what it does, but I have it installed on my HP Notebook.
