My HP laptop came with Cyberlink DVD Suite 5 OEM which has Lightscribe labeling.  It does the basic three types of labels (full, content and title modes), however, since this is my first Lightscribe experience, I have no basis of comparison with other labeling software.  ERgo this thread.

DVD Suite 5 bacislly lets you choose which mode you want, add a background for the entire disc then insert as much additional text and other images wherever you want.  All in all it's pretty flexible.

If you use one of the other labeling software, please describe its capabilities.  All users would like to know how different each type software is.

Hi Cyberbiker,

I'm using LS Template Labeler, downloadable  on the same page.

You can insert pictures, text or photo's or use templates. You can also choose quality.

REALLY EASY!

Just hit Doawnloads on top off page

Have Fun,

Joghan

HI cyberbiker !!!

I'm like Joghan, I am using The LS Template Labeler V1.17.90.1 (that includes ALL the software) exclusively.  I use Nero 8 Ultimate or Vista built-in burning for the data.

I've found that most of the other software shows a lot of color, but you still only get grayscale from the drive and media.  A lot of promise, but no delivery!

The TL uses XML and JPGs and I've developed over 80 templates using XML Notepad 2007 and Paint.NET (both free and accepting donations).

Maybe if they get color labeling the other might be worth it, but for now I develop color capable TL templates that may work if color comes true.

I put them in MS Office Live Workspace as ZIP Files.
