Lightscribe has successfully burned many labels for me over the last couple of years. However, a couple of days ago it only partially burned a label and it took three times longer to do it than normal. Since then, it does not recognize ANY discs. I was half-way through a set of Verbatim discs when this happened. Now it won't recognize any of the rest. Bought some hp discs, same thing. Updated the software, installed the diagnostic tool and, nothing. Installed a different Lightscribe software....same result. Cleaned the hub of the discs and...nothing. Pulled out a disc that I successfully burned a label on from last week, before I had this problem, and tried to burn over it but...nothing (it should burn a new label over it without a problem and it didn't have a problem recognizing the disc a week ago!). I'm thinking it is an internal problem with the disc recognition component. I'm wonder if a build-up of debris or residue prevents it from functioning after a period of time. From what I've read online, it seems that there are many others that get into this purgatory and can't get out either. Any thoughts or help?
