Hi,

I hope someone has a way around this and I can't see how I'm missing something but anything's possible.

I went to use the simple labeler software from here.

I am the one that was to play around with different wording and fonts
and all that and then I would save the project as a file in whatever
type LS would use and get it to the people with the burner, they would
open the project in their same exact program and they would burn the
discs.

But I find that the software won't show me a preview since I don't have a LS drive on here.

All I want is a preview, I can't see why having the drive and a disc
are necessary just for a preview. That's like Photoshop telling me I
don't have a printer so I can't use it or Pro Tools saying that since I
don't have a cd burner I can't work on a song.

Is there some way around this please?

I sure hope it's just that I'm overlooking something.

Thanks in advance

I can't speak directly for the Simple Labeler but in the Lightscribe Template Labeler the project can be opened, created, modified and saved as an lsl file in the program active window without having a Lightscribe drive installed and not going to the "Review and Print" final window. It is not necessary to use a template with a background design or image...simply use one of the text templates and don't insert an image.

What I have noticed is that the font used for the label must also be installed on the machine used for the printing process the label will not print as designed. I would assume this behaviour should also be present in the Simple Labeler.
