This is the THIRD ATTEMPT to send! As referenced in subject heading, I purchased a brand new LaCie LightScribe d2 DVD±RW (22x DVD±R) and received this week. I specifically purchased this model due to its stated compatibility with Mac. After proper installation and one usage, I find that I have been deceived by the unit's advertising. While the examples shown are colorful and creative, they are NOT what the product actually produces with my Mac. The only option available is Simple LightScribe Label. I made a label on a LightScribe CD and, although it is neatly etched on the disc, it is nearly impossible to see. I realize I cannot change the font size, only the font itself, and there is no darkness control other than selecting a different font. I chose the font I wanted to use, only to be disappointed. I AM WRITING THIS TO MAC USERS: CAVEAT EMPTOR! BUYER BEWARE! This MODEL DOES NOT make the advertised/expected creative and colorful labels. IT MAKES SIMPLE LIGHTSCRIBE LABELS ONLY!! There is no "fix" that I can find after hours of searching and reading. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS MISLEADING PRODUCT

Actually there is a setting that you can choose to make the burn darker. For Mac, its built in. See this article: http://www.lightscribe.com/support/kb/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=167

I suggest doing that and Double Burning, meaning print a LightScribe label twice on the same LightScribe disc. See my Double Burn comparison here: http://www.lightscribe.com/discussionBoards/index.aspx?g=posts&t=5384

And I can't believe that you bought a LaCie drive and aren't using the LaCie LightScribe Program. Download it here: http://www.lacie.com/us/support/drivers/driver.htm?id=10061

And I just want you to know that a Windows enthusiast Mac hater just helped you with your Mac that you apparently don't know how to use.
