Hi All,

I've got an External HP Lightscribe drive that I got with my HP DV2 Pavillion Laptop.

Just today I connected the drive to my Sony vaio and the drive was immediately detected and even the Nero Burner recognised it. But I'm having a problem that I can't understand what could be causing it.

Everytime I put a blank dvd-r into the drive, it starts disconnecting and reconnecting itself to the laptop. I checked the drive icon in My computer and it shows my drive just for 2 seconds literally with a big question mark on top and then disappears. And keeps doing that till I eject the disc. This happens with a Lightscribe dvd-r, a regular dvd-r and cd/dvd that I put in the drive.

Could anybody please help me???

I've got Windows 7 64bit installed.
