Happy Fourth of July !

athersonb, the title of your post "Why does it not print on ordinary blank CD or DVD " ids confusing.

You can only burn a LABEL on a LightScribe Disk.

LS Disks have a Coating on the LABEL side and Marks in the center (hub). These Marks are used for Media Detection, Positioning, and Timing.

Ordinary Disk don't have these Marks and are NOT recognized. Also, the LABEL side of the disk MUST be down so the Laser Diode can burn the LABEL Image into the Coating.
