Yes you can do it the way you want :

a) burning and labeling with a software from an official licensee
b) burning with a software and labeling with another one
c) burning and labeling with an official CD/DVD publishing system.

LightScribe medias are exactly the same than the other CD & DVDs, except that you can label on them and even label and then add a special mention at a special place afterwards (with Droppix for example). For a business loke your it can be a great feature because it means you can pre-print your logo or a picture on discs and add the name of each customer on each disc afterwards really quickly.
