Can I create a video DVD from a Sony Multifunction DVD Recorder (non-Lightscribe hardware and software) onto Lightscribe compatible DVD media and then take that video DVD to my HP laptop that has a Lightscribe DVD drive and Roxio Media Creator to create a Lightscribe Image. In other words, can I use one device to record the data and then another source to create the Lightscibe information? Thanks.

what does you hold up? of course that works. since the labelprint and the data recording are different layers just combined in one disc does not mean you have to use the same recorder for printing.....
I have done that many times......
