I am not aware of a Lightscribe error code 1714 but if you are referring to a Windows error code 1714 while installing a program that is usually a result of an improperly uninstalled previous version of a program. Depending on what operating system you are using try the Microsoft tech support site and see if the Windows Installer Repair Tool may be applicable in your particular system.
