Lightscribe Templet Design
I need to be able to create custom label designs rather than use those downloaded. I can use the standard downloadable templets and everything works fine to print on the multi-disc duplicator. The lsi file is saved to the multi-disc duplicator and then printing takes place.
We need to make appropriate labels for different church recordings and none downloadable are usable. I can design labels on different label software but none will import into the lightscribe software. It asks for a .psd file to import but a file designed in alternate software exported in psd format won't import. It says it isn't in templet format. Is there any software which can make templet designs importable into the lightscribe program?
If you can utilize the downloadable Lightscribe templates available on this site the following link explains how to modify an existing template:

How I create Labels Containing a Track List
I've put together some stuff I use to create CD Labels.I wrote up the procedure I use in a PDF File.I make PDF Files of any Documentation I create.I have V220.127.116.11 of the LSS & since Version 18.104.22.168 of both the LSS & the corresponding Diagnostic Utility. I include an "Additional Stuff" Folder which contains anything I create while developing My Custom Templates.I created ZIP Files for 6 Windows Vista "Right-Click" Directory Commands I developed to support making Track Lists & other procedures I use.I "ripped off" the "Template Playlist Beta" (For which LS has NO documentation, NO source, & LAID OFF the Technician) "Full" & "Half" Disk Templates; fixed them; & then create a ZIP File of the two templates.I have a PDF that contains "Template vs Simple Labelers" - a comparison of what is the structure of each template.I found 7 FREE Tools I use for development, & have more I am testing.I have a PDF which contains a "Mini Resume" & a lot of "LightScribe Stuff" I've researched.I continually develop PDFs on the Tools I use for development.I've developed 365 Custom Templates (in 60 Collections + 6 Private Ones), 108 Images (in 12 Collections), 174 Icons, and 4 Test Background Images for the LS SL.I developed 4 Test "borders" for the Simple Labeler.I developed a New Custom Wedding Template for one Forum User.I developed 11 Custom Templates for 5 other Forum User from Sample Images they provided or Detailed Descriptions.I developed 4 Custom Templates which use Circular Text Items & Circular, Oval, & Diamond Shaped Images.I developed 6 User Defined Functions in VBA for Excel for Transforms.I developed 4 User Defined Functions in VBA for Excel for Circles & Ellipse.I developed 11 User Defined Functions in VBA for Excel for Path Data.I fixed one LSL File for another User by changing a White Outline of some Text to Black.I created Previews of all my Custom Templates & Images & have Mini-Catalogues of both as PDF Files.I created 174 ICONS & a PDF Preview.I tend to concentrate on Filling the entire disk surface especially with TEXT, Bold, Outline, White Text, & More Font Control.I published 20 Newsletters & a List of Newsletter Topics about what I've been doing & 2 other FREE Programs I've been researching.I have studied the XML parts of the 2007 Versions of Microsoft Office Access, Excel, & Word.I just developed 7 Template Making TutorialsI have all this & more in My MS Windows Live Skydrive.I am working to develop more Custom Templates.I am sharing my work with 333 Forum Users.

This is too much trouble for a lay person like a secretary to do. I'm
sure it is the manufacture of the duplicator's poor design. The
lightscribe software downloadable from here is too basic and limits one
to only using their predesigned templates, none of which aren't
applicable for our needs. Maybe if they redesign the software to
enhance the creativity of the user; it will probably take care our
I use various label design software which will print labels on lightscribe discs; I like lightscribe.
