As I use the Lightscribe Template Labeler to create labels I'm sure I'll learn some quirks and methods but I would like to know more about the color choice of the disks in the preview/print window. There are three yellow/goldish/light copper color choices in the preview panel. I have Verbatim gold discs but the actual color more closely matches the light copper/bronze shade shown in the left side of the preview pane. Is there any improved contrast or darkness achieved by selecting a different shade or color in the preview pane from what disc you actually have? I'm going to try selecting a different shade of gold/yellow and see if there is a difference in finished burn but I figure someone else on this forum must have already tried this and the answer could save me some (wasted?) time..

hahahahahahahahaa. No that doesn't change the burn at all. That's just for giving you a visual idea of what it will look like.

OK Thanks. That'll save me a couple of hours trying something that doesn't accomplish anything. (Kinda like when you press the "pedestrian crossing" button repeatedly at a traffic light at a busy intersection) I sometimes wonder how many are really hooked up to anything...

I use the color preview to often get a ballpark feel for what color might best complement the image. I have found that based on the contrast and/or "busyness" of the image, some color choices tend to look better than others. Of course, you still have to print out the disc to tell for sure.

Lightscribe laser etches in grayscale (shades of black) only, not in color. If you go to the Design Center on this website you can preview what different color discs will look like with different designs.

In other words, Yes Zsanett, you can only print black. And yeah, if you buy color LightScribe CDs, then the the color will be on the CD.
