The company that I work for recently bought a Lightscribe Sharkcopier. This new copier can only read label files that are saved as a .lsl or a .lsi file. We previously have used an Aleratec copier that used Droppix software to create label files. These files were saved as .dpx files. We have many labels that are saved as a .dpx file and it would take an enormous amount of time to recreate these using the Lightscribe software. Is there anyway to convert the .dpx files to either .lsl files or .lsi files?

Hi Totally Yours Co. !
Sorry , I have been studying LSI Files for a while now.
Unfortunately LSI Files appear to be binary files that are some kind of proprietary code or some old form of XML Files.
Droppix files are also some kind of proprietary format also.
The only way I can think of to generate an LSI File is to do it with the proprietary code from the duplicator manufacturer.
What I would suggest is to somehow use Droppix (you'll have to keep it long enough to convert all labels from Droppix format to an image) to generate a graphic image (like a JPG, PNG, or GIF).
Then take that image into the LS Template Labeler as an image.
Finally let the TL generate the LSI File with the duplicator software.
To change any text, you would first delete it from the image and add the change as a Text Item.

Can you share some of this information with us? I am frankly frustrated, and if I can get the data format, perhaps I can code a direct editor.

Hi Sarah !
I'm not sure what in particular you are interested in.
Also, this Forum will not accept images which probably would be needed.
I have made several posts that detail how I can send you a link to all my work.
I also have published 3 Newsletters that contain more details of what I've learned.
