When using a .jpg lightscribe session I get the following error in system.log (console):
Jul 7 18:21:42 PowerBook-G4-15-van-A-van-de-Kolk kernel[0]: USBF: 174143. 27 AppleUSBEHCI[0x2205800]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0x5b, timing out! (Addr: 3, EP: 1)
I use Disc Cover 2.3.3 & Lightscribe 1.18.6.1 *newest version to date.
Can you look into this ?

Hi MacGoeroe !
I get the following from your post (Please correct anything not right):
- You're using a Mac Powerbook-G4
- The drive is USB connected
- You;re getting some kind of timeout error
- LSS is Version 1.18.6.1
I do not get the following:
- The meaning of "using a .jpg lightscribe session"
- What "Disc Cover 2.3.3" is
- What program you're using to do the labeling

I use a jpg image to print on the CD (Imation CD-R)
I use Disc Cover to print via Lightscribe hosting software...

I downloaded and tested Disc Cover 2.3.1 (the latest I could find) from BeLightsoft.com and it worked fine with the 1.18.6.1 software.
I suspect that the lightscribe software update was corrupted, uninstall the lightscribe software and remove the lightscribe package from /Library/Receipts and reinstall the 1.18.6.1 software.

Lightscribe Software version 1.8.16.1 was in good working order.
I used a PC to upgrade the firmware of the DVD-Drive to:
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SE-S224Q (couldn't be done with a Mac !!!???)
- Firmware Revision: TS02 (newest) 10-7-09
The Lightscribe process did take a while but was finished in about 19 minutes (Full Label - Best quality)
Thanks for your help....A. van de Kolk
