I don't know anything about the error code you gave, it doesn't seem like a LightScribe Error Code.

I have a TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632N 0503 152 also, but my drive has worked fine for about 13 months.

So unless your drive is starting to act up, I can't think what the error could be.

I don't find anything like it in my Diagnostic.txt File.

It is possible that the spindle of disks is defective, but the hub of the disk contains marks that must be precise and clear of damage.

These marks are used for Media Detection, Positioning, and Timing, so damage or a manufacturing flaw in that area is very detrimental, especially in the hub area.

When examining the disks check the hub area, even if you have to use a magnifying glass.

Media Detection is the touchiest part when it comes to these marks.

Jon, exactly the same as you! I have an HP Pavilion and it labelled the first two discs fine but now says it is unable to detect the lightscribe disc. I have tried discs from the same pack and from another. None of them work, so it is obviously not a problem with the discs. I wonder if it is a problem specific to HP drives?

Hi Guys !

I'm using an HP Pavillion dv9825nr running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1+.

I've burned 100+ disks and only had problems with 2.

One, I had to give up on, the other I had to clean the LABEL side 3 times of 20 turns and especially cleaned the center of the disk where the marks are.  I was eventually able to use it.

I use some of the 109 Custom Templates I developed, and use the LS Template Labeler for my labels exclusively.

I use Nero 9 or Vista's burn feature o do DATA or Music, and I've burned CDs and DVDs.

I am using Infiniti colour discs. It is very strange that the first two times I tried it it worked (two different discs picked at random from the pack) and subsequently every disc I have tried (from the same pack and another) has failed. I have installed the Lightscribe system updates but it hasn't made any difference. I'm going to try HP support and see if they are aware of this problem.
