I have used Lightscribe before but due to an upgrade I have sort of started again.I am confounded by the message above. I have my new layout on the screen ready for burning. I try to pring; I get a preview of my burn. I press OK and get the message above. I may be stupid but I don't see an option to select a layout. It is on the screen which thought would qualify as being selected. So I have a layout I cannot burn. May I mention ; when I open Roxio Label Maker I see a disc template that has to curved text boxes. As I cannot get any image onto that - it is displayed as an image in the narrow text boxes - I guess that uis a good as it gets for a free template from Lightscribe. JRK

Since Roxio provides support for LightScribe and paper labels, you need to check the print manager options and make sure that you select Lightscribe. Please see the attachment.
If the LightScribe System Software failed to detect the drive, the options to burn LightScribe labels will be disabled from the print manager.
Please confirm that you have the latest version of the LightScribe System Software installed on your computer. It was recently updated and version “1.14.25.1” released August 29, 2008 is now available. If not, please do so now.
