I use LightScribe Template Labeler to burn my label and I waited untill it was fully done and when I took my dvd out it was only not even half done. It won't let me reburn it to see if it will do any better and now when I put a cd or dvd in label side down, it takes forever for my dvd/cd burner to stop reading it so I can burn the label because it holds everything up when it trys to read it. Even after i wait for it to stop reading it and I go to burn the label it ejects the dvd and said "please enter a dvd or cd label side down". I have some photos of what my dvd looks like; pic one - click pic two - click Can anyone help me?

I spent 3 hours yesterday going through the same problem of the drive not being recognized and the disc taking forever to read. It was lable side down but the burner would not read the disc and kept spitting it out. Finally I did 2 things that fixed the problem. First I ran a CD cleaning kit on the drive. The one with the brushes. This still didn't help much, but it still is a good idea to keep dust off the lens of the drive. I tried several new color CD-R blank disks and it would not recognize any of them. Even the old Amber DVD+R and CD-R were not recognized. Finally what fixed the problem was that I went back to the origional blue CD-R that I had burned my files on and noticed that it had #$*&^## on the disc in the middle right where it reads the alinement of the disc. Since it had it on this disc the computer thought that every disc I put in was that disc and did not recognize them. I took a cotton cloth and some rubbing alcohol and cleaned the middle of the disc to a shiny mirror like finish. It recognized that disc the first time I put it in and I didn't even let the rubbing alcohol dry, LOL!!!! Try that, running a CD cleaning kit (might not have helped but can't hurt) to clean dust off the lense of the DVD burner and rubbing alcohol to clean the center of the disc.
Anyway my 2 cents worth

I cant even get my lightscribe drive to work period. I was able to burn a few discs and then the lightscribe wont even let me burn any more labels and I cant open the disc to reinstall it. I will look at another product that actually lets me create my own labels or go back to the peel and stick labels. At least I had labels. Nero is useless to me. Furthermore I can;t even get tech support from anyone. This program is a rip-off to Americans!!!

Chris and Jeremy,
A quick opinion is, it sounds like a hardware calibration with your drives.
walteria,
I answered you on another thread.

Hey... I bought my lightscribe as an external, and have been using it for a while. The first one I got exploded a cd-r inside of it. and because of it, wal-mart gave me a 2 year manufacturers warranty. But when my new external started not finishing my discs I did everything, download the smart pack (which for a while made my dvd burner not recognize my driver), and the lightscribe software download. Both seemed to have helped for about 2-3 weeks, but now I'm back to partially printed labels, but everything else works right... I would say try both software downloads. And I called lite on (my manufacturer) to see what else I could do. Unfortunately, the process it takes to get a new one with a receipt is long and arduous. But yeah if that helps or it's not too late give that a try.
Someone help me out! Sending it back isn't the greatest option right now...
