/WorkArea/threadeddisc/emoticons/happy.png I bought a new Memorex lightscribe drive and installed it to find lightscribe couldn't find the drive. I checked device manager and the drive was listed as a scsi drive. Then i remembered i had all my sata drives running in AHCI mode in bios for better performance. I guess, lightscribe can't handle this so you have to run the drive in IDE or SATA mode. Once you change that and boot up, windows installs the correct drivers for an ATA drive and now it works. I'm labeling a disk as i'm typing this. i'm running win 7 ult 64 bit and alls right with the world again, lol! It should show up in device manager as an ATA drive to work. If you have any problems with this fix, you can contact me at deltatechcomputers@embarqmail.com. I'm a computer tech and no I don't work for hp or lightscribe. I love it when a plan comes together!!
