I have been using Lightscribe Express Labeler for a few years with no problems until the past few days. :\( When I try to open it I get a message that Express Labeler has encountered an error.  Can someone help me please?

Thank you!

I still cannot get this to work.  It says that it has encountered an error & needs to close.  Does anyone have a solution?  Any assistance would be appreciated.

P.S. - I have tried the simple labeler but I need labels that can fit text for up to 20 songs.

Thank you!

1) What operating system are you using?

2) Is the labeling program the Sonic/Roxio Express Labeler?

You would have to contact Roxio/Sonic support to address your issue with the Express Labeler.

For a quicker alternative I would download and install the Lightscribe Template Labeler application and download and install the playlist template set. Both are full featured and totally free and should give you some time to resolve your Sonic application problem.  See if that works for you.

I have both the template & simple labeler but I can't figure out how to put all the text on them.  I have 15-20 songs to list and there is not enough room on any of the templates that I have found.

I tried to contact roxio but so far no luck.

I appreciate your help.

Thank you,

CJ

Below is the link to download the Playlist template set for the Lightscribe Template Labeler. (does not work on the Simple Labeler) Be sure to follow the installation instructions.....

 http://lightscribe.com/downloadSection/pse/

Don't forget to create a new folder, (such as C:\Lightscribe Playlist) extract the downloaded .zip file to that folder and create a desktop shortcut to the Playlist executable that is created in the folder. That way you can completely uninstall the Playlist application in the future by simply deleting the created folder and shortcut. The Playlist application can be run without starting the Template Labeler program first. Select one of the "Track" selections (the ½ image with ½ text template will easily accommodate 20 titles) and choose a file containing the playlist of the CD. Once you get used to using it you'll find you can even import a playlist from a .txt or .doc file as well as importing the titles directly from the track list without having to type them in the Lightscribe Template Labeler. If you want to type them all manually, simply choose a text file with one character in it and edit the playlist in the displayed created label.

Thank you Jim B.  I am going to do as you suggest this weekend.

I got looking around my computer and found Microsoft System Restore.  It allows you to restore the PC system & software programs if they were accidentally erased or damaged.  The restore feature records the PC settings at a restore point which can be initiated by the user.  I decided to give this a try as I figured that I had nothing to lose.  Well I was amazed to find that it worked!  My Sonic Express Labeler is back!  The System Restore is a feature of Windows XP, not sure about other systems.

I appreciate your assistance & I hope that what I discovered will help others who are having a similar problem, not just with Express Labeler but with other software also.

Thanks again,

CJ
