Hi there, I am new to this forum and needing help as I am at my wits end! I have just purchased a Samsung Super-Writemaster SE-S204 external dvd writer, and a pack of HP lightscribe disks to go with it. I have so far, not written data to a single disk successfully and im about to put the thing straight back on ebay! I have managed to print onto some of the disks, but that isn't much use if there is no data on there! I have tried writing to the disk using my internal dvd writer, and that failed as well. Yet both the internal drive and external lightscribe drive, but write data perfectly to normal blank dvd's!
What am I doing wrong???

Since both your drives write data to non-Lightscribe discs successfully I would suspect a subpar spindle of HP Lightscribe discs. Verbatim is the preferred brand by most users of Lightscribe DVD (and CD) blank media.

You turn the CD upside down, right?
You have to turn it upside down when you want to burn a LightScribe label on the top side of the disc.
