I just acquired the new vers. 5 of Sure Thing Labelling software (with patch) and when I use it, only 50% of the time DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK!! The rest of the time, the image is either smudged, or after 5-6 HOURS of Light Scribe grinding away, still NO IMAGE! I've taken this up with Sure Thing's Quality Control Manager, Peter Calkins, and here is a direct quote of his reply: Hello Erin,
These problems come from the Lightscribe System Software. This software is made by HP. Contact them here: http://www.lightscribe.com
Regards,
Pete HP, Consider yourself contacted-NOW HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM?? Erin

Hi Erin !
Have you tried The LS Template Labeler to see if it has the same problem?
If it did, the problem could be with the drive itself.
Smearing tends to be a drive calibration error.
Just a thought!

Thanks cimofj2! I downloaded the Template Software and the first disc came out beautifully! With any luck, this may have solved the problem! Many thanks! Erin

Hello again Erin !
How I create Labels Containing a Track List
I've put together some stuff I use to create CD Labels.
- I wrote up the procedure I use in a PDF File.
- I created ZIP Files for 5 Windows Vista "Right-Click" Commands that are used in that procedure.
- I "ripped off" the "Template Playlist Beta" ''Full" and "Half" Disk Templates; fixed them and create a ZIP File of the two templates.
- I have all this and more in My MS Office Live Workspace.
- I have developed 95 Custom Templates for the Template Labeler.
- I have developed 4 Test "borders" for the Simple Labeler.
- 32 Forum Users have taken my offer.
