When I am burning a CD with my lightscribe drive, I- tunes now includes an option that when checked will include CD text on all Audio CDs. This is a nice feature because my Clarion deck will include the name of album and title of track when the CD is being played. Whenever that option is checked the CD will not burn, error message and disc burning fails.

Hi ninerdp !
That doesn't sound like that has anything to do with the LABEL side of the disk.
I use NERO to generate filenames with Track+Song+Artist(s).
I COPY those names onto the LABEL, but if there's any error it usually with NERO not LightScribe!

Hello again ninerdp !
The folks at LightScribe had a "Template Playlist Labeler (Beta)" that attempted to import the Track List to label CDs. It had a Half and "Full" Label.
I managed to get a copy before they withdrew it because it had too many things that were terribly WRONG .
- I try to use NERO 8 for CDs, because it makes a filename which can be formatted to be "(xx Track)+(Song Title)+(Artist)";
- They also tried to put the Track so I wound up with two; and
- They also did every file in a folder, so I wound up with other filenames including sub-folders. Also, the "Full" Label did not include an Image, but displayed as if it had provisions for a Background Image.
I've also found that a lot goes into arranging the Text Items for a CD.
The procedure I've found the easiest is:
- I start the Template Labeler;
- Usually, select one of My over 80 Custom Templates;
- Import my Image, if I'm using one;
- Go into the folder which contains the playlist;
- One by one select a Track File;
- Start to do a RENAME;
- Do a COPY of the track Name;
- Select a Text Item;
- PASTE the Track Name;
- Close the RENAME;
- Repeat Steps 4 through 11 until I've done all the Tracks.
I then rearrange things to fit, if necessary.
I have had to change the template sometimes.
The Custom Templates include both straight and curved text and go up to 24 Text Items.
Also, I:
- Keep the LSL File;
- Export the Label Image; and
- Make a copy of the Print Preview.
I have an MS Office Live Workspace that has:
- Over 80 Custom Template I have developed;
- OLD LS Software that I have saved;
- Tutorials on Paint.NET (one of the FREE tools I use); and
- Private workspace I create for work I may do for people who contact me.
The OLD LS Software I have saved is in ZIP Files and is as follows:
- LSS+DU - 1_18_1_1.ZIP;
- LSS+DU - 1_17_90_1.ZIP;
- LS Update - 1_14_32_1.ZIP;
- LightScribe Simple Labeler - 1_4_128_1.ZIP; and
- LightScribe PWSDK - 1_12_33_2.ZIP.
If you send me a Private MESSAGE (This is for your Privacy.) containing your correct E-mail Address, I will send you "Invitations" to all My Workspaces and some other stuff.
I hope this helps you and everybody who reads this, including the guys in LS Development.
